We are seeking an experienced Contracts Engineer who is available for an immediate start.

Reporting to the Project Manager, this role is offered on a maximum term contract on a full-time basis and will be based at our Perth head office.

The successful applicant will have working knowledge of contracts to ensure compliance with Linkforce’s policies and procedures relating to procurement, contract administration and project management.

Responsibilities of this role include:

  • Provide contract administration support and assistance to the Project Manager to ensure all head contract obligations are being met
  • Facilitate administration of the contract during all phases whilst working closely with administration, doc control and project controls resources
  • Prepare a Rights & Responsibilities Summary and template letters to facilitate all notices required under the contract
  • Ensure all commercial requirements of the head contracts are complied with including maintenance of a change register, correspondence register, variation/EOT notifications, variation/EOT claims, monthly progress claims, formal correspondence and project reporting
  • Assessing and defending progress claims, variation claims, notices of delay, extension of time claims and delay & disruption claims from subcontractors
  • Assist project manager with project close out and lessons learnt reviews
  • Maintain and develop good working relationships with clients, internal personnel, external suppliers and subcontractors
  • Continually review and seek ways to improve productivity for existing processes & systems
  • Comply with and support company Quality Management Systems, processes and procedures and provide feedback for future improvement
  • Ensure all environmental compliance requirements are met and all environmental policies and procedures are adhered to
  • Actively promote and adhere to all Linkforce HSE policies and procedures, ensuring a safe workplace at all times for. Reporting all accidents, incidents and hazards in the workplace to your supervisor/ manager as required

To be considered for this role you will have:

  • Tertiary qualification in quantity surveying, engineering, law, project management, business studies or related discipline
  • A minimum of 3 years post-graduate experience in a contract administrator or similar role
  • Complete understanding and application of contract administration principles
  • Experience in developing internal and external networks in order to create positive relationships and seek collaborative solutions
  • Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain quality and attention to detail when working to deadlines in a fast paced and changing environment.
  • High levels of computer literacy with a focus on commonly used project tools including Microsoft Office – Excel, Word, PowerPoint & Project
  • Experience working for a contractor in the mining/resources industry
