We have the opportunity for two Apprentice Advisors (Mechanical and Fabrication) to guide and mentor up to 15 Apprentices. This involves site meetings, one on one coaching, maintaining logbooks, assisting with work allocations and ensuring workplace health and safety is maintained.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor Apprentice progression, through regular site visits and contact
  • Liaise closely with many departments within the business to ensure Apprentices have a positive experience
  • Build relationships and liaise with Area and Operational Managers and Apprentice Supervisors
  • Rotate Apprentices as required, so they receive the best possible overall skill set
  • Support recruitment, induction and apprenticeship sign ups
  • Support Apprentices in the development and improvement of their professional and personal wellbeing
  • Report on key business functions concerning your role

Skills, attributes and experience:

Essential

  • A passion for developing and transferring your technical knowledge and skills to mechanically minded apprentices. Both adult and youth
  • A proactive, flexible and highly organised individual, who utilises initiative and a strategic mindset, to create business efficiencies
  • Experienced Australian Recognised Trade in Mechanical and or Fabricator within a heavy industry environment
  • Confident individual, with a strong commitment to effective written and verbal communication
  • A proven ability to meet deadlines and reporting requirements
  • Understanding the importance of Workplace Health and Safety
  • Certificate IV Training and Assessment (Highly Desirable)
